Looking to learn...

I picked up photography fairly heavily at the end of the schoolyear last year and through the summer. It's kind of dwindled a bit now that I'm back at university, but I'm hoping to rekindle it a bit soon. I'm shooting with my mom's old Canon AE-1, and this is one of those shots I scanned from print on a shitty scanner and then fixed and played with levels and sharpness in photoshop (not sure if that's frowned upon here?).

Anyway... I took this to give to my guitar teacher of 3 and a half years as a way of saying thanks before I left. Guitar is a custom job with a yamaha neck.

As far as I can tell, in terms of technical aspect, not much is frowned upon. That's why I like this forum. There is a healthy balance between art and science. Great people with varied skills and interest.
