A general critique/review of the photo would be good looking at all areas. I think the title is enough to say what I'm trying to convey.

Taken in macro mode of my fuji finepix A330

I am not getting "the loss of innocence" deal. I like the red thing in the spider web, but the background is super distracting for me.

Maybe a -1.5 / -2 degree rotation? <-- little peeve of mine, I like photos to be straight seldom will I like one intentionally off.

The idea was that the flower has been caught up in the web to act like a metaphor for innocent people getting caught up in bad influences and not progressing.

Guess it didn't work.

What about a tighter crop putting the ??flower?? at the top right of the photo and crop just the smaller most front building and some of the ground into the photo. It would present the web and ??flower?? as more of the subject by not competing so heavily against the background buildings.

Also can you increase the pinks and red in the ??flower??. This will help to bring you in and increase its focus as the subject.
