Lost some edits in Lightroom

I reorgnized some photos on my hard drive, then in Light Room synchronized. I lost some of the edits this way and I now know this is wrong.

I have a backup of my catalog from when the edits existed. Since that backup, I've re-arranged a ton of photos, renaming folder, etc. Can I somehow bring the editing data from that old back-up into light room now?

Your edits are in the catalog and not with the images unless you saved them in a sidecar, which most people dont do until they're ready to archive the file. Lr and Bridge keep track of file operations but if you uses something else you now have a broken link. Lr has some ability to restore that link in the library module. Adobe Lightroom - Find moved or missing files and folders I'm not sure how it will work if you've renamed files.
