Low down with a Widgeon

I was about to move location as the water was a little empty by 9am when I spotted the lovely male Widgeon drifting into view

Sony a9 + Sony 600mm f4 - on my tripod at almost ground level - I loved his posture and mirror reflection - the light was perfect at this time - despite being only +1 degree

Once I moved some 300m away to a different pond - I found a pair of Widgeon at around 10.15am
