Very minimalist - and none the worse for that. How long did you have to wait for the duck to get into position? Nice shots.

As an aside, I was reading a thread somewhere about RAW, and conditions like these are a really good example of when JPEG fans (like me) MIGHT just need that extra data to prevent processing degradation, like banding. It's worth shooting both if we can.

The duck was being nice and started moving into shot quickly for me!

I do shoot in RAW (albeit with a G16) but I did notice the banding after looking at the photos on my tablet (after PP). Unfortunately I'm using my cheap LCD TV as a monitor at the moment and it certainly isn't calibrated! Need to buy a good monitor and watch out for these things, especially in PP
