I know this OS its not purely editing software but is the photo update any good. I personally have switched to affinity, due to affordability, and good catalogue program is one downfall in that respect. I have been searching for threads and I can't find any.

I don't use it.

It is on my iMac, but I don't use it.

I don't care for the assumptions that Apple has made regarding my own use of my own computer.

Every OS update contains all the updates. I don't see how Apple could ever be convinced to remove the crap and make something that might actually be useful to everybody. It's not in their DNA.
