Taken on a Canon 500n with a reversed 50mm lens. Got 4 more rolls of slide film so any ideas to improve will be appreciated.

I see it and I love the focus. My critique is that I would like to see a bit more on the bottom. It's cropped too closely. The black spot on the right is also distracting, but all in all this is a very good shot :)

Impressive. Grat colour and focusing. I agree on the crop also, the black spot is a bit distracting, but overall great capture

i agree with clarinetJWD... i would like to see more on bottom. i would also like to see a bit more light introduced to the center (the stamens? what are those things called???) so there will be more of a highlight on them. overall, a bit more contrast would help.

light is the most important factor, and when you have a subject that will stand still, take advantage of the situation and create the light that will work best. in this case, a pen-light should do it.
