Male Black-Headed Trogon

I've only seen this one once so far.
They are very cool to look at, I hope to get more (and better) opportunities.

I asked him to get closer but I was denied....

The tree I've seen most birds in so far is pretty tall and even though that was taken at 340mm, I still had to crop the shot quite a bit and didn't want to do any more.

I do love the ring of feathers around the eye making it look like a giant eyeball.

The eyes are what helped me locate the bird.
