Maxxum 430si repair

I have a Maxxum 430si that seems to have some trouble with the button that switches between auto focus and manual focus. Whenever I push the button to enable manual focusing the camera immediately switches back to auto focus. I looked up on Minoltas site and there was a link to a company that repairs them but it will cost atleast 100 dollars to fix which is too much to fix a camera that old. I would love to fix it as I have owned it since junior high and has some sentimental value. If someone knows a place that would cost a reasonable amount to fix it I would be very appreciative.
