Photos NOT OK to edit
The Nikon D3500 I have is great with a higher pixel count, but I still love using my big beast....it's those true colors. I've been searching for a battery option other than the typical. When working with another hobby of mine (I have several) it occurred to me I could use a LiPo type rechargeable as the battery.

As postscript, I'll be doubling the batteries I show to ensure good photo session times. Being an unconventional combo of this camera and LiPo type batteries you would be trying this at your own risk. Sorry, left that out earlier.

Clever!

I tend to use AA size LiPo batteries in my flash guns pair one LiPo & one dummy/placeholder & the voltage is similar to brand new alkali batteries, yet they are quickly rechargable :)
I guess they'd work in my old Pentax K100 too (it no longer likes NiMH)

As far as I can tell, the voltage matches fine, and I think the recharge power will be okay. Now by finding the physical size is good too tells me it's a GO. The real beauty is that I already have the batteries too.
