Minolta MD-90 NC-90 Nicad battery

Forgive me if this a repeat, I have put this on few forums BUT I recently acquired a Minolta Maxxum 9000 with a LOT parts, including a motor drive.
I have the AA battery pack but it also came with a dead NP-90 NiCad pack.
I would like to get it running; I tried at Batteries Plus but they said they could not get new cells for it.
Do any of you know of a place where such work is done.

What cells does it have. Does the battery come apart? Do you have a charger? Is it NiCad?
