Mockingbird and Baby

This poor little fellow must have fallen out of his nest. Momma was still around bringing him/her critters.. Yes I like funny crops(plus momma was sitting on a boat trailer), just my style I guess... Feel free to comment...

Oh my goodness, how has nobody commented on these? I love #2, such an "in your face" look!

And those babies--so ugly they're adorable! I love the way baby birds have those crooked little bills.
I'm pretty sure I had some baby mockingbirds in my yard this year, but with all the rain we've had, my backyard turned into the Amazon rainforest seemingly overnight--it's all so overgrown now, I have little hope of spotting anything that desires to stay hidden.

I have to go back tomorrow and see if I can rescue him... I went to grab my macro lens out of my car, by the time I got back (2 minutes) it had vanished....
