Well Im going to be helping a friend of mine build up her modeling portfolio. So that brings me to my question. Im going to be shooting in a wooded area and im not going to have the luxury of any lighting other than natural lighting. Is there any tips i should think about while shooting and is there any way I can use natural light to my benefit?

Shot wide open and use reflectors to fill where needed.

Wide open may be of benefit to your style, but not necessarily. However, cnutco makes a valid suggestion about reflectors. I would add to that to have more than one and to also have at least a 1 stop difusser. Dappled light on your subject from the sunlight shining through the tress is not a pleasing look. This may also involve an assistant. Always a good thing to bring along.

Suggests.......... titties for the win.

Mishele,
You're the best.

Take advantage of available light to act as your backlighting/hairlight etc. as well. If you have a spot where you can pose the subject with the light hitting them from behind and you light them up from the front it can make for a cool combination.
I took this shot today taking advantage of the backlighting.
