hi belinda,

phew - your pretty prolific aren't ya?

just some very quick observations:
1. My favourite from the lot! Love the red on green! I would still like a tad more saturation (just a tad). Also perhasp you can darken the leaves to the right a bit, they distract from the subject slightly.
2. The shot is a bit 'busy' for me. Hrrm, my recommendations, would be to try another angle, perhaps get your feet wet and stand in the middle of the brook for a shot
3. wonderful lighting of the foreground cactus, but not emphasized enough. Perhaps zoom in for some closeups or macros. Or try the the same shot with the lighting on the foreground cactus but the background is completely the larger cactuses in the shade...
4. I am having a hard time with this one... i love the abstract of the cactus, but for some reason the foreground cactus distracts me :scratch:

Forgive me, Belinda, for speaking to Mark, but I mean to say:
"Mark, and I am enjoying your comments, always!"

Funny, that when I looked at the third photo, I thought the exact same that Mark has said: the backlit cacti (?) in the foreground are wonderful, but I would have liked a close-up, or just a dark background in the entire photo better, too.

The first one reminds me of our holidays on the Island of Madeira in the Atlantic off the northern west coast of Africa where I took I-don't-know-how-many "flower portraits" like this one, too. I could inundate the board with those...
