moonlighting other forums

i moonlight on this board and post on the josh rouse website forum (amazing musician for those that aren't familiar with him).

Good to see you, Scott! Love the new Av

I've tried other forums, but 99.9% of them I never return to because of immaturity, trolls, flamers, idiots, and power-trippers.

How you keep this forum free (or close to it) of those sorts is beyond me.

Erm, I used to post regularly on three bonsai forums. Now I only visit one now and again.
I used to do bonsai but always had a cat that would ruin it. Now that I'm felineless, I'd like to get back into bonsai. Which forum would you recommend for that?
http://www.bonsaiweb.com/forum/ << Used to be good. The owner vanished then reappeared after the forum got over-run with trolls. Then he vanished again when it got hacked. Most people have left and joined...
http://www.bonsaichat.org./ <<< Which I've visited once.

http://bonsaisite.com/forums/ <<< Has some nice people. A few more UK based users than most sites. Harry Harrington was a regular there when I posted. I don't know about now.

http://www.bonsaicommunity.com/forum/index.php <<< Is the only one I visit now. But it is completely dead. It was set up with the tool section in mind.

http://internetbonsaiclub.org/galleries/index.php <<< Is a well known site. I've never posted there. I just have an account.

http://forum.bonsaitalk.com/ <<< Probably the best place for you to go. Lots of people who know what they're talking about. I'll confess to have never posted there, although I used to read it every day.

Hey who you pointin that at Jadin?

When mods actually read posts and keep the forum ticking over smoothly all is fine. Lots of mods don't give a crap and let people get on with it, or troll themselves. It helps having a user base which knows how to ignore rather than feed a troll to, I'm sure.

I'm supposed to READ the posts? That's what I've been doing wrong

But, Ferny, you're right! We have a great group of users here that know when someone is just causing trouble vs. here to learn and can tune it out. Thank you ALL for that :D

The "or close to it" was kind of a disclaimer since I couldn't think of any off-hand that wasn't dealt with quick and properly..

Now... why did you need to ask that unprovoked? :lmao:
