Probably John McLean (Die Hard). Not that I really have any desire whatsoever to be shot at and have to deal with the whole "saving the world" deal. (Although it sure is fun to watch) Mostly it's because I understand the make-the-best-of-a-bad-situation attitude.

This question is actually quite hard, because I tend not to see movie characters as "real" at all. Probably because of my theater background. Movies seem to "easy"... if you mess up, you can do it again. While I know that it's not any easier to make movies, I'm a bit of a snob.

... Now characters in books... that's another story.

well tell us the other story, character in a book, which would you be?

I love books, I read as much as I'm able (I probably average 500-1000 pages a week) and feel that a good author makes the world within their books real. Right now I'm reading "The System of the World" by Neal Stephenson, which is volume three of his Baroque Cycle. (This is my second time through the cycle.) I really enjoy his writing, and part of the reason is that his characters feel like they could be real people. (More interesting than most real people mind you, but if they weren't it'd be no fun to read.) One of the characters in this book, Daniel Waterhouse, is probably the person I'd be. He seems to be on the periphery of major happenings. Things happen to, and around him, and he plays a subtle role in those happenings. Through it all he grows and changes, but stays fundamentally himself. It's good writing and good reading.

Okay, I'm going out with a bang! Here are the rest of the pics requested:
My wife and I making funny faces: http://www.flickr.com/photos/morydd/251945094/in/set-72157594290995020/

The nearest tree: http://www.flickr.com/photos/morydd/251934821/in/set-72157594290995020/
(Actually, the nearest tree is the one in the front door pic, but I figure trees under 8 feet tall don't really count)
Wasn't able to get a pic of the dog downstairs. He hasn't been out in the few hours of daylight I've been home.
Also, I totally missed Antarctican's questions!
Favourite drink? (Alcoholic and non-alcoholic)
I'm a fan of Jamesons, and a well made Manhattan. I'm a Guinness drinker, and appreciate many good Ales. Bell's in Kalamazoo makes several fantastic ones. Also my wife has taught me to appreciate some good wines. We're big Reisling fans.
Type of music you listen to?
There's not a lot I don't listen to. Johnny Cash is a big favorite, as is U2. Among others that I listen to quite a bit are Jurassic 5, Emmylou Harris, Ben Harper, Ani DiFranco, Sinatra, Neil Young, Beth Orton, Fatboy Slim...
And as a special treat to make up for missing your questions, a picture of my penguins: http://www.flickr.com/photos/morydd/251935270/in/set-72157594290995020/

(I'm very proud of my cataloging project.)

Thank you all for this opportunity. I hope you've learned a bit about me. I feel I've learned a bit about some of you and I feel much less like a newbie. (I'm over 100 posts now!) Hopefully I'll be getting another batch of pics in digital form soon, so I'll actually post some photography here. If I ever actually get a good digital, I'll probably make you all yearn for the days of the occasional post!

My wife points out that I didn't post my non-alcoholic favorite drinks. So, lest you all believe that I don't drink anything non-alcoholic...
Strawberry Fanta, Water, and Korean Ginger Tea.
