I went into this movie hesitantly because I loved the original. I don't know why I was worried though because, other than names, the two movies have very little in common. I'm not even sure why they call it a remake.

The movie itself is so-so. It's entertaining, but forgettable.

I was a bit disappointed with how they added strippers, f-bombs galore and other stuff. The original movie was a good family horror movie - this new one doesn't have the humor of the original, nor the "wholesomeness" (for lack of a better word).

interesting! I loved the original also.. Ol Jerry Dandridge was quite the campy vampire! And Amanda Bearse was actually cute in that one!

I want to see the new one.. but now I am glad I waited. I will just Netflix it.. sounds like it isn't worth the price of admission at the theater!

For sure, my opinion would be wait to rent it.
