Hi All,

I am inspired by all the brilliant macro work on the forum lately.

Saw this little critter on a plant in my garden:
BUGBABY.jpg

Got out the camera and followed a load of guidance I read on this forum.

That is a 9 image focus stack using the lean in slowly method with manual focus. Z8 + MC-105 + GODOX V1.
ISO 200 + 1/250 + Flash set to lowest intensity (to speed up recycle time)

I set camera to a 15 image burst with 9 of the 15 useable in the stacking process.

Helicon focus, to do the stacking, then Luminar Neo for sharpening / sizing.

By far the best macro I have ever done.

Thanks to everyone on the forum that pointed me in the correct direction.

Nice shot. Nice lightening. Top notch editing. Wow looked at Godox v1 nice piece of kit. I kind of expected a 5000 mAh battery but still, I can see the results. 9/10.

I think your edit can be improved just a tad.

I used topaz ai and imported into photoshop and masked in some details missed by Luminar Neo.

I usually look at a picture for 10 minutes if it's good. But I don't expect you to do the same. I edited the spider web, and the two claws of the spider next to it's mouth (ya sorry can't remember my grade 12 biology anymore) And sharpened it's leg ends. And the captured green bug.

Awesome job! Well on your way to Macro Pro status

I think that's a spider babysitting an aphid... 😂 Nice shot!
I will take your word for it.
Producing that pic was a great learning curve. As soon as i get some domestic stuff out the way I am out to try a few more bug pics.
