Here are 3 of my best digital infrared photography photos - you can check the photos in the left column.
I used HOYA R72 filter for taking such infrared shots with my Canon 350D. You'll also need a tripod as the exposure times get pretty long even under normal sunlight conditions.
Some tips for taking IR shots:
- install filter
- mount camera on a tripod
- take a first photo
- then switch to Custom Whitebalance and use the first photo for determining the correct Whitebalance
- take another photo, now with proper whitebalance.
You can check my three photos, of which the first one is done without correct whitebalance, other 2 have been done using the correct whitebalance.
