My D300

Welcome to the D300 club. I still have my D80 but, it doesnt see as much use now. Im thinking I will use it as a loaner to friends I trust.

I just want to make mention that some mis-information has been passed in this thread.

The D300, out-of-the-box, has a burst rate of 6fps.

If the grip MB-D10 is attached and has 8x AA batteries or the expensive setup of the EN-EL4a batteries, you can acheive 8fps.

That's your options to get the 8fp from the D300. Period.

Thanks for clearing that one up! I never really paid any attention to exactly how many it did. Those EN-EL4a batteries ARE expensive. Just looked them up.

I think I'll be ok with a default 6fps for now though.

I just got my mom a D40, so nevermind the option of her using my 80 some. Now, we just need to give my sister the 40, give my mom the 80, me and the 300 and get a backup 90 The world would be a better place then!
