guys i'm very new to this things but iam learning those basics about photography, i only have the manual of the camera as my guide. i have 500D with 18-55 as kit lens. this is one of my shots, could you please advice or comment on this. i really love food photography. ^_^

First question you should ask yourself is ... does it look good enough to eat ?

If not, why.


Notice in the first shot that the bag distracts from the buns, and the buns do not seem to do anything.

The second shot is spoiled by the object on the left and the colour of the tungsten light.
