That link you posted was exceptionally interesting. As you said, at 6 meters, the DOF increases dramatically. (I'm glad you actually posted *meters* because when I first saw the chart I mistakenly thought it was in *feet* and I thought, "That can't be right!"
This has been a highly informative thread for me thanks to your detailed information. The funny thing is that since I mostly shoot landscapes, I have been toying with the idea of going to a full frame camera for quite some time. I may shift from the Nikon D7000 to the Nikon D750 so I can go wider, so if I do go full frame, your fundamental information about the DISTANCE to the subject being more important than the focal range is a key one that works for both. All just a matter of "dialing it in" after that. So again, I thank you.
