Took this one last month when all the leaves were changing.

then this one was taken over the summer at the lake. Was not happy with how flat it turned out and did some photoshopping with the filters. What do you think?

I personally like the effect on the case of the motor, but I don't like it on the tiller.

I do like the first. If you know how to work with Photoshop, you might want to try and bring out a bit more of the texture of the door. Otherwise it is nicely composed.

The boat engine does not tell me much, but that is just me, I guess. The effect you applied helps get rid of flatness but it looks quite artificial. It is ok, though, if you like it better like this than you did the original.
