I think those are both really cute. In the first, it definitely wouldn't have worked if they weren't both looking up at you. In the second, she could use some more light on her face, but it's such a great expression.
I like that your selective coloring here is pretty subtle, but I still don't think it really does much for either of these images. (Although for me, it works better in the first).

My favorite is the second, I love her position and expression. i also thing the lighting is fine like that, but that's just my opinion.

however, I really dislike the blue coloring in the eyes.

I'm also not a fan of selective coloring, but I really like that second image. I would work on improving the local contrast in her face and brightening it up some using software. A reflector would have helped a lot here, but I know they are hard to use when kids are running around and you have to just grab the shots given to you very quickly.

I really like number two, and I'm sure it would have been pretty difficult to use a reflector to brighten up the face. So I think you did a good job, and I like them both.
