I'll keep this short... it is a tripod after all
My travel tripod had taken it's last trip and needed to be replaced, so I went with the Manfrotto 190XPROB. It's everything you would expect from a Manfrotto tripod - stable, light and strong. What sets this one apart for me is the ultra fast transformation to a horozonal center column. Not the first tripod to do this trick but it is the easiest I've evr seen! Splay the legs out and flip the center column on it's side and you're ready to rock.
If you're looking for a Manfrotto tripod spring for the extra few bucks to get this neat feature. Even if you only use it once in a blue moon it's a nice feature to have in the bank. I am looking forward to some macro shots with it this week - I'll post them when I get um!
