Mystery Canmera

Hello all,

I ran across an image of what looks like a 35mm SLR. I thought I knew my models, but have absolutely no idea what camera this could be. The word which I assume to be the brand name looks like it reads "KATH PI".

I did a lot of googling but came up empty.

Any takers?

Curiosity has got me on this one.

I believe its a Pentax K1000 or some variant (maybe an MX, hard to tell unless you see top plate)

1st, its a mirror image.
2nd, The "K" is actually an "X".
3rd, The small script above the larger script is "Asahi".
4th, The squared prism with the faint Asahi Optical Corp symbol.
5th. Black line under the prism.
6th. forward positioned neck strap rings.
7th, Raised shutter button looks about the right height.

smacking head. I knew it was a mirror image but somehow forgot to reverse the word.
