almost any digital camera will be fine for portrait photography. the supplemental lighting is much more important than the camera.

For portrait on a 35mm FF typically between 50-135mm is the typically used lens focal length.

The most common, 85mm, 90mm, 100mm, 105mm, 135mm.

I see the web page, and I don't see any lens for this body included in the deal.

What is your budget? To answer your question, yes. The Pentax KP with a DA limited lens would be nice.

Oops I didn’t see your link to the K1. Perfect, In my opinion. Many use the FA 77 Limited for portraits. A D-FA 85 will be out soon. Look at Pentax forums.
