What type of lighting should I buy in order to shoot my own architectectural interior shots with a digital slr.

I used to help a friend back in the day when we used film and color temp. mattered. I just don't know if any of this still applies with the digital cameras....

Help.

Oh, and a word or two of advice on a good digital slr for professional quality photos for web sites and publications would be great too.

For interiors of buildings and rooms, I've alway relied on the natural lighting available in the room. Using a digital SLR, I would take a white balance reading of a grey card from the existing light sources in the room. Then setup a tripod, wired remote, set to aperature priority, and start shooting at f/8.
