Photos OK to edit
I'm thinking about getting this lens for my A-100. I'm heading to Italy in just over 4 weeks and want a good wide angle lens to be able to capture the entire landscape, street scene, cathedral, etc. I also don't mind a little distortion...and even want a little as it can create some neat photos (I think so anyway!).

I have the 18-200 mm kit lens that has an angle of view of about 75 degrees....where this one opens up to 102 degrees.

Those of you who have shot with something similar, would this lens be worth the money? Would I be disappointed in the lens and wish I had bought something else?

I've had a hard time finding reviews for this lens, so any input would be GREATLY appreciated. If I get it, I'll do so by the end of the week, so please hurry with the insight!

*Finally found the reviews here: http://www.dyxum.com/reviews/lenses/reviews.asp?IDLens=225...but would still like y'all's input.

I'm looking into one of these for my nikon d80. Been seeing some impressive work. Thanks for posting the link. Sorry about God- I don't speak for him, but I think he's really, really busy right now.

I went ahead and got it a few days ago. The man at Wolf Camera had just been to Italy and said if he hadn't already spent so much on camera equipment he would have bought something similar to it. Without it he said he used his 50mm prime lens, took several shots with a tripod, and is going to stitch them together.

The lens is pretty cool, but I haven't had a chance to really test it out yet. I'll post some of the italy pics when I get back in about a month.

Great. I'm looking forward to seeing them. Have a good trip!
