Hello all...

I've ventured into the world of medium format photography, 120 mostly in Diana and Holga cameras... and to avoid the cost of printing my film I thought I'd get a scanner, so that it would allow me to just get the film developed, and then scan it in, since it's all just going to live on my computer anyway. I'm looking for recommendations on scanners... let's say under $500. What's out there that's easy to use, allows for various formats, black and white & color... has decent resolution...

Thanks,

Mark

Another vote for the v700... it's an EXCELLENT scanner, 6400 dpi will scan up to 8x10 film!

Just be sure to adjust the negative carrier height perfectly; I had to add a few layers of masking tape on the bottom of the height adjusters to achieve maximum sharpness.

I'm pretty happy with this one so far, and you really can't beat the price: [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Epson-Perfection-4490-Photo-Scanner/dp/B000ALCJT4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1225154231&sr=8-1[/ame]

If he doesn't mine me linking to it this is the TPF user bhop's flicker, he used the 4490 to scan all of them (Holga stuff and 35mm) http://www.flickr.com/photos/bhop73/sets/72157594145464958/
