Hello, This is a picture I took a few years back with my old digital camera. Here is the original photo. I increased the contrast in photoshop and got this. I noticed there is this blue tint on the background. Anyone know how I can decrease that bluish tint and make the background sharper? Or if you have any suggestions to make this picture better, please let me know. I am using photoshop element 4.0. Thanks!
I probably would've selected only the background and adjusted the blue levels to reduce the amount of blue, then you can sharpen as well without messing up the foreground. I don't know about Photoshop Elements 4.0 specifically, but that's how I'd do it in general
Nice shot....However I'd try cropping off the sky completely, not level and too much contrasting differences.
I took the liberty of downloading your image and having a play with it on PS CS2 since your images are ok to edit. Here's what i got after about 5 minutes worth of editing. i adjusted the levels changed to lab colour, selected channels then sharpened the lightness layer. converted back to rgb. used an orange warmup filter with 25% intensity. rotated the image slightly to level the horizon then cropped out the sky and corners of the image where i had blank canvas visible. saved the image.
