Need suggestions on new camera purchase

Also want to add the 24-85mm VR from personal experience is a fantastic lens for the money but personally I wouldn't be getting it or (if I would get the 6D) the 24-105mm
I would be getting a faster lens, a 24-70mm 2.8 either original maker or Tamron 24-70mm 2.8 VC, its more expensive but I think well worth the price!

D610 is the better camera!!!
Much better Dynamic Range
Much better AF system

6D is slightly better in low light but not by much, it is very long in the tooth so the rumors are talking about it being replaced in the very near future so getting it means you will probably see it replaced very soon with a brand new toy, not a good feeling when you are holding a new camera in your hands.

No brainer, get the better and cheaper camera, get the D610

Alright thanks man for the input! The 24-70mm 2.8 you mentioned is $1900 lens lol, compared to $600 for the 24-85 VR. Damn. Thats a pricey lens. I don't think I can afford that unfortunately. The Tamron is $1200 which is doable..

The Tamron 28-75 2,8 is an excellent lens and the price is a steal at 500.00 new & 300.00 used

Where are you seeing that price? The cheapest I have found is $1200

Tamron

28-75 2.8. I'm guessing you are thinking of the 24-70 2.8 VC

Goodguy recommended the 24-70

I do see the 28-75 Tamron for $500. Would you recommend the Tamron 28-75 2.8 over the Nikkor 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5?

I've shot with both. The Tamron 28-75 2.8 is a way better lens. It doesn't have VR. But it is SHARP, & it's fast.

Dont know the differences between these 2 lenses but I can tell you in this focal range VR/VC/OS is a nice bonus but not a must.
