Negative scanner

Epson V750 Pro. Does slides, pictures, negatives. Does fluid scanning, too. Not too bad for price and has all of the carriers included (some after-market are better, though).

V750 all the way, great scanner for the money, actually great scanner, period. I have made 3 foot prints off of files made on that scanner for exhibitions.

If you plan on doing a lot (i mean a lot )of scanning, I highly recommend on getting the better made negative holders. The ones that come with the system is its weak point. For me the difference between the v750 and v700 was not big enough to justify spending more for the v750.

Now, if you plan tp scan in a bunch of old negatives as a one time deal, you may want to consider finding a shop to do it for you instead. Scanning is tedious at times and the scanners wont be cost effective if only used for that one time. Be sure to ask questions regarding quality of scans And how/what will be delivered. Some shops have several levels of services for scanning depending on your expectations.

You should also consider real negative scanners too... as generally they are better than flatbeds. You never mentioned what size negative. They are getting difficult to find these days. The Epsons mentioned are probably the best alternatives.
