How do you find square format for this picture? It's a crop from a landscape.

Thank you for your feedback :)

I like the square, although is it exactly square? It feels a tad on the portrait side. But it might be an optical delusion.

And damnit, I'm seeing pink again. Anyone else? Especially in the rocks. LOL!

Yes, you are seeing pink :)

Portrait is just an ilusion :) Or maybe your display may not display it as such :)

That's coralline algae, a kind of calcareous algae that deposits calcium carbonate in its tissues. Pretty stuff in varying shades of purple...some of it on the pinkish side. This image seems to faithfully reproduce it.

The color balance actually looks pretty good for an image of a captive reef system. The lighting typically found in these systems is strong in blue due to the actinic lighting used to promote coral (and coralline algae) growth.

The blue fish (a fairy basslet of some sort?) does look a bit oversaturated and maybe too blue...but then, they are loud fish.

Nice capture all the same.

Thank you :)

The colours seemed pretty saturated in the sea museum and particularly in this case the blue may be too bright.
