Hi,
Found this site and joined because I have inherited a couple of vintage
cameras and I'm curious about them. I have a Nikon F2A (body only)
and a Leica M4 with a matching 50 mm Summicron lens. Is this the place
to post this or do I use another forum? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, all!

The matching Summicron 50mm f/2 highly respectable vintage lens with many shooters preferring its classical design/rendering to even today's advanced formulas. Some bland specs:

Summicron (I) f= 5 cm 1:2 - Leica Wiki (English)

As you can see, the Summicron has a long history.

Many cameras and lenses of 20+years will often need a CLA for reliable operation depending on how well they were stored and taken care of. In particular, lenses will often seem clear but will actually have a haze built up on its internal elements. You can check if you use a pin point bright light (LED pen light works) and shine through the glass. Visually inspect the light passing through at varying angles... often you can see "fog" or "hazy" elements. Lenses in this condition will flare and render with loss in contrast.

Both the M4 and Summicron are worth a good amount of cash on the market depending on condition. Any more specific information?
