new fuji finepix s6500

Hi there i am new to photography and have aquired a new fuji finepix s6500. What i would like to know is how to speed up the shutter speed to take action shots as i have not been able to do this.

S should be shutter mode, change the dial to that. You need good light, or you need to kick up the iso higher. Beware of digital noise when you do that.

the dial is on s but im not sure how to change the iso. next to the s at the bottom is currently sez 100 F3.7 and top sez iso 200

Iso is at 200 then, which is ok as long as you have a lot of light. See if there is an option in the menus to change the iso. Also RTFM to the camera.
