hi new here....been into photography for sometime but only recently got a DSLR (Sony a200 about a week old... b-day gift from the wife...)...any way here's some pics i took with it during the holiday break...

this last one was taken with my old P & S Sony

really like the burner photo, try adding a little more red to get some good contrast

i'm going to try and put something on the burner so that some parts of it will burn red/orange...:thumbup:

The focus on 1 seems a little soft, love the burner photo.

BTW, I think strontium turns fire red.

where do i get strontium? and yeah the focus of the arowana isn't tack sharp....it was moving so much and i don't have a fast lens yet. :blushing:

splash some water on it. youll have to take couple shots to get the timing right...but with luck youll get a good shot.

Oh and dont use to much water...just take yer hand and dip it in some water and flick it on the fire.

I really like #2... as I said in another thread, though, that may say something about some inner firebug in me!
