Hi all! I'm new here and just as new to photography. Got my first dSLR less than a week ago and I'm having a lot of fun, but I definitely have a lot to learn.

My husband bought me a Nikon D3000 for my birthday. My husband is in the Army, which leaves me stuck at home with my kids and no childcare. I thought it was time for me to have a hobby I could do with the kids in tow and photography has been something I've been wanting to learn for years, even though I don't have a creative bone in my body.

I've been shooting in manual mode for a couple days and love it!
