Hello,
I just bought a new Sigma 18-35mm lens and after having a closer look it turned out that it came with slight damage to the filter thread. Apart from that the lens is in perfect condition. I've tried and there is no problem with attaching the filter, it's just the fact that it makes me feel a bit annoyed as I didn't expect that from a completely new lens. I contacted the seller and they say it can sometimes happen for due to lens cap not fitting properly.
Now I have two options - return it for replacement or keep it with a £70 discount.
I got the lens for £520 so it would bring the price down to £450, which is pretty good based on the prices I've seen in other shops.
I'm just wondering - is it worth paying for the postage and get a replacement lens or should I just keep it and stop worrying about it? Has anyone had a similar problem?
