New Nikons!

These announcements confirm (yet again) a philosophy that has served me well over the years...

Spend as little money on the camera bodies as you can, and sink your money into fine full featured lenses. Cameras come and go, but if you buy good glass (and avoid DX glass where you can) then you are going to be able to use it for a very long time on several generations of bodies.

Having said that, I am drooling over the D3... so much so, I am worried about shorting out my keyboard.
 
holy cow, that's just incredible for ISO 3200.
 
That IS a pretty impressive shot. I don't like using JPGs from the web to judge an image, but I see very little noise, and the colors seems ok.
 
methinks if I can get my scrappy paws on a D300, I'll be good for the next 3-4 years. mealsothinks that there's very little todays working professional would need outside of it sans full frame.

I've caught up with my D70, and it's starting to get in my way.
 
to me it looks impressive, but still too much colour noise to be "nice". but impressive for 3200 I agree
