New Photos... What do you think!

Please critique! I took these pictures last week of a friends baby with my Nikon D70. What do you think? Thanks

These should be in one of the photo galleries, but:
1. Very nice capture, I like the softness and mood it presents
2. I don't think the clock should be in the background, it takes too much attention away from your subject.
3. I like composition and perspective. I would crop the table out a bit so you can focus more on the baby's face

I really like #1, definately my favorite.

1 is lovely. For me it shows the immense joy of the parents, the success of their coming together.

2 isn't right yet, The baby looks a bit stressed and uncomfortable with his red face. Maybe bring the baby 2-4 feet closer and upright and then put the clock out of focus some amount. Consider a meaningful time on the clock to give it a reason for being there.

3 is a yummy mix of chocolate & cream & coffee tones. It's like Abstract from a portrait. I like it a lot but it's missing something and I can't figure it out. Maybe contrary to Cambell's suggestion I would say let the baby take up the top 1/3 and the table the bottom 2/3.

You're doing a great job.
