thanks! no. just go to the location, pay $20 for the tour and $6 for the navajo day permit, then u can hang there as long as u want. upper antelope is more expensive, and more crowded. i just stuck to lower antelope.

Great, dramatic shot. The tiny bit of sky at the top gives you a good reference point so you can tell what it is.

no, the upper stone was getting direct sunlight and that along with the sky woulda been much harder to process, and i felt it would be distracting and too busy.

From my experience with slot canyons, the best time to shoot is mid-morning when light is getting down into the canyon, but isnt directly overhead. However, if you would include the sky it would be really blown out in comparison to the rocks.

On a side note, I dont remember this arch in Lower Antelope? How the heck did I miss that!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Now I need to go back!
