New Sigma 17-70 f/2.8-4 Contrmporary

After much debate and research, I finally pulled the trigger on the Sigma 17-70 Contemporary lens. It is an awesome lens, and I am excited to have a good walk-around lens to replace the Nikon 18-55 kit.

I chose this lens over the:
Nikon 16-85
Nikon 18-140
Nikon 18-105
and Sigma 17-50 2.8.

There were a lot of options, other than those listed above, but couldn't be happier with the choice.
The one thing that will take some getting used to is the opposite zoom threading. Not a big deal.

Congrats! I had to make the same decision a few months back and ended up with the 17-50mm. I sacrificed the extra reach for a constant 2.8. IMO, you cant go wrong with either. ENJOY!

Congrats man. Getting new gear is always cool. I recently bought the 17-50 2.8 myself and really like it.
