New Sigma 50-150.

Is anyone considering this lens for portraits vs a 70-200 ? considering its range on a dx camera.

Sigma has an earlier version of this lens that always looked great on paper, but didn't actually perform that well. If this new one has been cleaned up optically I think it's a great option on DX. Really nice focal length and OS as well...

I'll be interested to see what kind of images this thing actually grabs.

I love sigma lenses with APO glass. The new version looks clean. You can check the sigma outlet for deal on old refurbished ones. They had some for $669 the other day ago.

I have the Sigma 50-150mm 2.8 II and I have no problems at all. I guess I got lucky and got a good copy.

Might be just a bit soft but still just fine with me.
