What's new

New to HDR some critiqueand tips appreciated

out of the bunch the last one is the best one out
all other 3 composition wise suffers and what I mean by that is let's look at image 1
all we have is a over processed sky with the top portion of the trees and power lines going through them doesn't give much of a subject.

The last image is very good composition wise because the boats are lined up within a rule of thirds. The image is a bit over saturated but it works. Just keep on trying and take your time processing your files play with the sliders just don't cook the shot's
good luck happy shooting.

Boat one is cool, the others no so much.

As Provo mentioned, don't be afraid to experiment with the sliders and fiddly bits in your software. The worst that can happen is you create an image you don't like. Ok, not a big deal, just go try again with different settings. HDR is a skill, like any other. The more you do it, the easier it will be to tell when to stop fiddling. I've killed quite a few skies trying to HDR somethign into them that the base images just don't/wont support, so I think I know where you were headed with those first couple shots. Just keep trying and keep learning and you'll do fine.

A litter over done.
