Welcome fellow Canuck. Enjoy the Sony, nothing wrong with older cameras. Just practice and learn. I shoot with older entry level cameras and they can do a wonderful job, Even the old 5MP Nikon D50 surprises me when I pull it out and try new things. If you don/t have the manual download the one for your camera. They help a lot.
