New to photography as a hobby from Kansas City

Hey all I'm Jennifer, I'm new to the photography Scene as more than just taking pics here and there. I want to learn and activly persue photography as a hobby so any advise would be greatly appreciated. Right now I have a Nikon digital camera that I'll be starting out with and hopefully with time And experience can upgrade to some really nice equipment. With that said I can't wait to get started!!
