New to photography

Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
HI All,

I am new to photography. I have Nikon D5000 with kit lens. When there is less light, photos are very dark. and i dont know what are the settings to be done.

Can somebody please help me how to start with D5000

Why don't you first read the manual. Get to know the buttons and its functions first. Then try Auto mode (that green camera icon on the dial). Later try P. Enjoy.

Read the manual first, this explains everything about aperture, shutter speed and ISO. Then if there's anything you don't understand, feel free to ask away! Always the manual first!
 
True...manual helps, and get some practice...A setting is always a start!
 
You can also google "exposure triangle". This will help you understand why your photos are coming out dark, and what you can do to prevent it. There is no "one size fits all" setting, settings are always dependant on light available, blurred motion vs. stop action, desired DOF, etc.
