New to photography.

okay, so i think the nex 3 is out of the question because its not a true dslr..... but, im so torn between the 2 that it has come down to...

nikon d3100 or canon t2i

found a d3100 for sale for $425 and a t2i for $500......

anyone have anything to say to make up my mind?

Have you gone to the store and handled them both? See what they feel like in your hands? That may help in deciding.

Also, here is a comparison between Canon T3 (which from what I understand is very similar to T2, just a swivel screen?) and D3100

i have actually, and i dont really prefer the feeling of one over the other D:
