Hello... I'm new to this forum and pretty much new to digital photography (unless you count my 4 years with a point and shoot) I just got a Nikon D40x for Christmas last year and am now just trying to learn the manual settings. I am trying to teach myself the basics of it. Right now I'm pretty much just taking pics of my kids but am hoping to start taking pics of other people soon. I actually have a maternity session coming up so I have to try to figure this all out quick! If anyone has any pointers for me let me know! Thanks!!
